About Us

Dr. Ray Strand is a graduate of the University of Colorado Medical School. He finished his post graduate education at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California. He has been involved in a private family practice for over 30 years.

During the past 12 years, he has focused his practice on preventive and nutritional medicine. He is the author of several books like What Your Doctor Doesn’t Know about Nutritional Medicine [Thomas Nelson 2002], Death by Prescription [Thomas Nelson 2003], and Healthy for Life [Real Life Press 2005].

He has lectured on preventive medicine and nutritional medicine across the US, Canada, and Australia. Dr. Strand is quickly becoming one of the world’s leading authorities in Nutritional Medicine.

Dr. Christine Wood, is a practicing pediatrician and certified lactation educator from San Diego, author of the book, How to Get Kids to Eat Great & Love It!, and a frequent guest on TV and radio. Her articles and interviews have appeared in Newsweek, Parents, Parenting, Fit Pregnancy, and Baby Talk among others.

She serves on the Leadership Council for the San Diego Childhood Obesity Initiative and is the Domain Champion for their Media and Marketing Domain. She has also contributed her expertise to School Wellness Policies in some local school districts.

She is a co-investigator with the San Diego State University Research Foundation with a 5-year grant on childhood obesity prevention.

She graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and went on to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles for her pediatric residency.
